WhatsApp dp temporarily crashed leaving millions of users unable to send or receive messages.
The problems were reported on the popular messaging app on Thursday shortly before 4.30pm and affected people across the world.
However, shortly after 5pm users in London reported the fault was fixed.
According to website DownDetector, most of the problems were caused by connection issues followed by sending messages and logging into the service.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
